COVID-19 | DEADLINES NOT TO BE MISSED
#1 Deferral of Tax Payments
The deadline for application for the deferral of applicable taxes falling due in May and June to be submitted by the 15th May 2020.
Further information can be found on our website link – deferral of tax payments. It is also important to note that the applicable taxes that were deferred are due as follows:
Deferred March and April taxes - Eligible taxes (excluding VAT) are to be settled in four equal monthly instalments between May and August 2020. VAT dues are to be settled in two equal instalments with the two quarterly returns immediately following the quarter whose dues would have been deferred.
Deferred May and June taxes – still to be notified
Those that applied already for the March and April deferral do not need to apply again.
#2 Provisional Tax Payments
The deadline for the payment of the April 2020 provisional tax was extended to the 31st May 2020, unless deferred under the tax deferral scheme.
The Commissioner for Revenue notified that due to the outbreak of COVID-19, the Provisional Tax claims will not be sent by mail but are being made available on the CFR online portal.

#3 COVID Wage Supplements
Applications are currently open for the COVID wage supplements for the period following the 27th April 2020.
Employers and self-employed who had their application for the March/April period accepted or are still awaiting feedback should not submit a new application
#4 Micro-Invest Tax Credit Incentive
The deadline for application for the micro-invest tax credit scheme for capital expenditure/increase in wage costs incurred in 2019 is the 27th May 2020.
